The safety of our campers and your children is our absolute first priority; therefore, Camp Harmony takes extraordinary measures to protect both.  Our security procedures include intensive training for our staff, password-protocols and multiple security personnel situated at strategic places, including both our entrances, whenever Camp is in session.  Our safety procedures include an on-site full-time Registered Nurse, a fully stocked Nurse’s office with exam room & AED (Automated External Defibrillator), multiple Administrative & other staff certified in Red Cross First Aid & CPR and extensive staff training.

Safety
Stacey Nurse, our full-time Camp nurse, has been an RN for over 25 years!  Our nurse’s office, which is staffed WHENEVER campers are on grounds, is fully stocked for any emergency – minor or major.  Our staff are trained each and every summer on safety procedures as well as continuing education on allergies, the use of EpiPens and blood-borne pathogens.  Many of our staff, including our entire Administrative team and every lifeguard, are trained and certified by the Red Cross in First Aid & CPR for the Professional Rescuer (certifications that are renewed each and every summer).  There is absolutely nothing we take more seriously than the safety of our campers.

 

Security
Unfortunately, with today’s tense world situations, we find it necessary to take extraordinary measures to protect our children.  Therefore, we will be stopping ANYONE who attempts to gain access to the camp. They will be asked to provide legal identification, a reason to be here and an access code (to be provided to us on your medical form) to pick up a child.  We know that this may be an inconvenience to you, but safety must and will remain our first priority. 

We have full-time security who staff each entrance to our grounds with our lead staff member being Sante Security (a Lifer).  Any person who cannot produce ID or who does not have the correct access code will be turned away with us reserving the right to call the Warren police if necessary.  

For our parents and other visitors: Please ONLY enter Camp through our front entrance on Mt. Horeb Road (NOT on our top van parking lot on Harmony Road) and PLEASE don’t give staff an argument when asked for ID.  We are just trying to protect your children!
